I am Maxine Matteo,  Managing Principal of The Regulatory and Risk Advisory Group, a Professional Financial Services Management Consulting Firm.  

I am a Proven Leader, Business Builder and a Fixer of Businesses with a Strong Sense of Urgency. While on Wall Street, I gained the understanding and lived the concept of “getting to the finish line by being smart and quick”. During my tenure as a Federal Regulator working with inter-agency groups, I worked on the QM and Risk Retention Rules with the hope of making sense of the new rules and the new credit guidelines that came with Dodd-Frank. I have a keen understanding of the rules. While as a Director at the Big Four Advisory/Consultancy PwC, I provided Strategy and Risk advice to seven of the top 11 Globally Systemic Financial Institutions. As a Main Street Executive, I built two large national mortgage conduits and platforms including capital markets, pricing, products, and operations. My team and I are Subject Matter Experts in banking, mortgage finance, regulatory, dealing with MRA’s and regulatory exams. I hold the CRCM Credential and have experience in Enterprise Risk, Credit Risk, Counter-party Risk, and Mortgage Compliance.
